Welcome to this exciting opportunity to join Thatcher Associates, a leading recruitment agency for the construction and architecture industry.

We are partnering with an established, award-winning, high-specification house builder to find a highly skilled Technical Coordinator to join their team in Bristol.

As a Technical Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing design aspects from planning through to completion, while also monitoring site progress and coordinating with architects and sub-contractors.

You will work closely with the Head of Technical Design and provide support to the technical department, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing design aspects from planning through to completion
  • Monitoring site progress and coordinating with architects and sub-contractors
  • Collaborating with the Head of Technical Design to ensure project delivery
  • Providing support to the technical department

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a sound understanding of residential development and design, with experience working with a house builder or main design/engineering consultancy.

Ideally, you will have an engineering design background or an architectural background with an understanding of engineering.

You will also need to be proficient in AutoCAD and have experience with design software such as Revit and SketchUp.

Other essential skills and qualifications include:

  • Architecture, Construction or Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Design Engineer, Arch Technician, Technical Coordinator or similar
  • Strong management and communication skills
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to keep accurate records of detailed information
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Achieve key deadlines
  • Full UK driving license
