We are currently seeking an experienced QC Microbiologist to join our award-winning team at Neogen's site in Heywood. This role plays a critical part in the day-to-day running of the Quality Control Laboratory, ensuring the efficient testing of Neogen's Culture Media product range.

• To conduct routine microbiological testing on culture media according to Standard Operating Procedures deployed within the Quality System.
• To prepare working cultures according to the Laboratory Code of Practice.
• To assist in any product investigations and evaluations when required.
• To calibrate and monitor laboratory equipment.
• To prepare finished product samples for physical and performance testing.
• To maintain stock levels.
• To perform general laboratory housekeeping duties.

• A science-related degree or equivalent laboratory experience is essential.
• You should be able to multitask and be organized.
• Accuracy when recording and analyzing data is crucial.
• Strong communication and computer skills are required.
• Able to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The estimated annual salary for this position is around £35,000-£45,000 based on industry standards and location.
