As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at our Cambridge Hospital, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality ultrasound imaging and reporting for a varied caseload within the department. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.

This role requires a high level of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately. You will need to have excellent communication and IT skills, as well as a good understanding of how to encourage and promote effective teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality ultrasound imaging and reporting for a varied caseload within the department.
  • Work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge and skills in ultrasound imaging and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance programs within the department.

Requirements:

  • BSc degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Postgraduate diploma / DMU in Medical Ultrasound.
  • Post-registration experience of general ultrasound imaging and reporting to include Gynae pelvis scanning.
  • Experience of managing an ultrasound quality assurance program will also be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills, as well as a good understanding of how to encourage and promote effective teamwork.

As a part-time Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be called on to provide cover during periods of sickness, holidays, or increased workload. We offer a competitive hourly rate, depending on experience, and provide a uniform and personal protective equipment. You will not be classified as an employee, so there will be no fixed working pattern, or entitlement to guaranteed or continuous employment.
