Children's Mental Health Team Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Team Lead within the Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a registered professional who can undertake the role of Team Lead and work in partnership with schools and colleges to support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of young people.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an efficient, effective, comprehensive, and specialist MHST service for children and adolescents. This will include completing assessments and treatment of children and adolescents with emotional and mental health problems, their carers/parents, and families.
The Team Lead will also be responsible for undertaking a range of generic clinical work, guided self-help, targeted group work, and workshops under the Whole School Approach (WSA). Additionally, they will monitor and guide the team to ensure we meet safety benchmarks set by NELFT and the CQC.
We encourage all staff to ensure they have been double vaccinated and received their booster. We recognize that taking the vaccine provides the best defence against COVID-19 for our patients, our staff, and their families.
The North East Essex Mental Health Support Team (MHST) covers a large geographical area incorporating the districts of Colchester, Clacton, and Harwich. We are an early intervention and prevention evidence-based service and as a team, we are supportive and passionate in what we deliver.
