Security Operations Analyst

Penguin Random House UK is seeking an experienced Security Operations Analyst to join our Security Operations community on a permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in monitoring and managing technical security controls to maintain and improve the security posture at Penguin Random House UK.
Key Responsibilities- Be a focal point for technical information security expertise, providing guidance and support to the team.
- Manage the operational support of specific security technologies, products, and services, including performing non-standard operations security tasks.
- Monitor internal and external cyber threats and vulnerabilities, ensuring that company technical controls are appropriate and effective.
- Resolve security events and operational security issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Investigate minor security breaches in accordance with established procedures.
- Support the delivery of on-going security initiatives and security projects, working closely with the Head of Security Operations.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Security Operations Analyst who is passionate about improving technical security controls. You will have a strong background in security operations, with experience working in a similar role and associated technologies, including vulnerability management, endpoint security, email security, threat intelligence, cloud security, filtering services, and others.
You will be an excellent communicator, with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Experience working in a service delivery environment, including responding to and investigating reported incidents/requests through to resolution, is also essential.
