Design Manager Lead

Salter Grange is collaborating with a leading construction firm on a significant mixed-use development in London. This project combines residential, retail, commercial, and community spaces. We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead this high-profile project.
Key Responsibilities:- Design Coordination: Oversee the design process from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all design work adheres to relevant UK planning regulations, building codes, and sustainability targets.
- Risk Management: Identify and address potential design risks, ensuring designs meet health and safety standards.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the design deliverables to ensure they meet the highest quality standards and are delivered within the agreed budget.
- Value Engineering: Contribute to cost-effective design solutions that optimize resources without compromising quality or functionality.
- Client Communication: Serve as a key liaison for clients on design-related matters, ensuring their vision is achieved while keeping them informed of design progress.
- Sustainability Integration: Ensure that all design practices align with the project's sustainability objectives, promoting environmentally friendly solutions throughout the development.
- Document Control: Manage and ensure the accuracy of design-related documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical information.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in design management, ideally with large residential or mixed-use developments.
- Proven ability to lead design teams and manage multi-disciplinary coordination.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and project management tools.
