Bombardier's Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and serves as the flagship of Bombardier's European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe, boasting the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform a wide range of maintenance checks, modifications, and upgrades on-site.
The Line Maintenance Engineer will travel to customers' aircraft to conduct troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, modifications, and services. All work completed must be performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required. Working conditions include considerable travel, which may involve international and extended assignments, with frequent face-to-face contact with customers. During slow periods of unplanned maintenance, additional work may be required on drop-ins and planned maintenance within the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Adhere to Bombardier's Maintenance Organization Procedures, including relevant parts of the MOE and applicable work instructions.
- Comply with Environmental/Health/Safety policies and procedures, performing all work in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform and document work per approved maintenance data (e.g., aircraft maintenance manuals).
- Identify defective aircraft components using the Company's Internal Procedure.
- Order parts through SAP.
- Carry out maintenance tasks to the specified standard under supervision of Certifying Staff/Support Staff, notifying supervisors of defects or mistakes requiring rectification to maintain required maintenance standards.
- Report discrepancies.
- Properly process removed, uninstalled, and rejected parts.
- Correct defects under supervision of Certifying Staff/Support Staff.
- Report maintenance errors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We are seeking candidates with recent experience in a line maintenance environment, preferably within the last 3 years, with a minimum of 6 months' experience.
Candidates should have recent experience working on business aircrafts and hold an A License. Additionally, they should possess a basic understanding of the requirements of Appendix I to Part-66 and good knowledge of Part-145. Knowledge of EWIS and CDCCL when relevant is also beneficial. Candidates should have a good understanding of human factors, human performance, and limitations. They should be able to interpret and work with engineering drawings, effectively communicate in both written and verbal form regarding individual task status, use standard tools, special tools, and operate ground support equipment, and identify and rectify existing and potential unsafe conditions. Experience with critical tasks is necessary, as well as basic PC skills. A valid UK Driving License is required for this role, as it involves driving airside.
