Role Overview

At Motus Truck & Van, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mercedes-Benz Depot Technician to join our Ipswich team. The successful candidate will be responsible for invoicing and controlling depot work-in-progress, working within credit control policy and procedures, and carrying out retail, repair & maintenance and internal costing as per company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Invoicing and controlling depot work-in-progress (anything that is not invoiced in hours)
  • Work within credit control policy and procedures
  • Carry out retail, repair & maintenance and internal costing as per company standards
  • Supply fully priced estimates of repairs required and ensure work is authorised where required
  • Audit job cards, associated service documentation and customer defect procedures for accuracy and adherence to internal and external procedures
  • Assist in achieving site KPI's in relation to efficiency, WIP targets, recovery rates and invoice lead time
  • Resolve and assist in invoice queries and other administration duties when required
  • Comply with company health, safety and environmental policies always
  • Contacting customers and obtaining order numbers if required

Requirements
  • Kerridge Experience
  • Commitment to working as part of a team
  • Excellent administrative skills

  • Good standard of numeracy
  • Basic IT skills
  • Effective communication
  • Advantageous to have awareness and understanding of commercial vehicle service and parts operations and repairs
  • The ability to organise work on own initiative and work under pressure
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to actively seek solutions to problems
