Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Caravan Park Electrical. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking periodic testing & inspection, electrical installation development works, and other electrical contracting services within the Leisure, Holiday Park, Marina, and LV distribution sectors.


About the Role

The successful candidate will possess practical, productive, and electrical engineering skills with adequate technical knowledge to work on their own proficiently and carry out electrical installation work without immediate supervision. You will be responsible for setting out jobs from drawings and specifications, requisitioning installation materials, and accepting responsibility for the proper completion of jobs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake periodic testing & inspection and electrical installation development works within the Leisure, Holiday Park, Marina, and LV distribution sectors.
  • Set out jobs from drawings and specifications and requisition installation materials.
  • Accept responsibility for the proper completion of jobs and, if required, supervise other operatives.
  • Work efficiently to deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Communicate effectively to deliver task objectives.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Have an excellent working knowledge of the current IET Wiring Regulations for Electrical Installations as detailed in the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671, published by the IET and the British Standards Institute.


Requirements

  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 test and inspection or equivalent (preferred).
  • Underground LV Cable Networks.
  • Commercial Switch Panel Installations.
  • Switch panel modifications and fabrication.
  • Street Lighting and General External Lighting.
  • Fault Finding and rectification.
  • Test & Inspection in accordance with BS7671:2018.
