Job Summary:

The Head of Environment, Health will oversee the development and implementation of Health and Safety policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety ownership throughout the organisation. The successful candidate will collaborate with Managers and employees to drive strategic aims and ensure effective delivery, promotion, and maintenance of a positive health and safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To establish a framework for risk assessments, ensuring potential hazards are identified and addressed.
  • To provide expert oversight for Health &Safety training and education.
  • To stay up-to-date with changes in Health & Safety legislation and best practices.
  • To develop and implement an audit and oversight process, assuring safety performance.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A NEBOSH National General Certificate, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Occupational Safety.
  • An advanced qualification level or demonstrable senior experience in a Safety subject.
