Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week (Flexible working, core hours to be covered).

Core Hours: 9am – 3pm Mon-Thurs and 9am – 2pm on Friday.

Job Description: Luton Bennett is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Engineer Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining building to a high standard, carrying out reactive repairs to the building, facilities, and site, and making improvements that will have a direct positive impact on safety, staff wellbeing, and legal compliance.

The Role: This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful manufacturer offering ongoing career development. As a Facilities Maintenance Engineer Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining building to a high standard and carrying out reactive repairs to the building, facilities, and site.
  • Completing routine and emergency repairs to internal and external building, fixtures, fittings, and infrastructure.
  • Providing general and detailed maintenance (either with direct or indirect supervision), including plumbing, carpentry, building small works, painting, hardware repairs, and other repair/replacement work as required.
  • Performing routine facilities maintenance repairs.
  • Performing routine inspections of assigned buildings and infrastructure.
  • Scoping, sourcing, and procuring materials for projects and repairs as necessary.
  • Evaluating and repairing issues as they arise and communicating with Supervisors.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant building/infrastructure legislation.
  • Controlling contractors for building/facilities maintenance.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Level 2 NVQ in Building Maintenance Multi-trade or equivalent.
  • Formal training in carpentry, building, construction, plumbing, electrics, or relevant building trade.
  • Those with an 18th edition or equivalent, legionella awareness or HVAC experience will be at an advantage.
