Electronics Engineer Job Description

At Matchtech, we're seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team. As an Electronics Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in developing and delivering cutting-edge electronics engineering solutions that drive innovation and growth within our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electronics Design: Design and develop electronic circuits, components, and printed circuit board (PCB) technology, focusing on areas such as electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), power management, servo control, processor interfacing, and communications.
  • Electrical Systems: Design and develop power and signal systems, including overall architecture, power flow, and system wiring, with a strong understanding of various production processes.
  • Engineering Excellence: Set and maintain high standards of engineering practice, becoming an expert or aspiring expert in the field.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with senior engineers, technical leads, and occasionally brief senior managers or customers.
  • R&D and Technology Development: Take an active role in research and development and technology development by applying subject matter expertise to projects.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership in multi-disciplinary projects, delivering systematic solutions for customers.
  • Mentorship: Support and mentor less experienced engineers, overseeing development and training.

Requirements:

  • Education: Strong degree (or HND with proven experience) in a related discipline, typically with 18 months to 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience: Experience working within project teams on multi-disciplinary projects with challenging goals.
  • Skills: Solid understanding of electrical and electronics designs, both theoretical and practical.
