Job Title

A Process Improvement Engineer is required to apply design for manufacture (DFM) principals to evaluate product designs and produce summary reports.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for project managing tooling vendors/suppliers and producing 2D CAD product, tooling, fixture, equipment drawings to support manufacturing, quality, and engineering activities.

  • Review and validate designs for various tools against specifications and RFQ
  • Produce detailed reports on product designs and manufacturing processes
Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Process Improvement Engineer with:

  • Significant experience of Tooling working as either a Tooling Project Engineer or Tool Design Engineer
  • Proficient using 2D/3D CAD - interrogate & optimise designs
  • Expert knowledge of tooling - die casting / metal stamping / plastic injection moulding
  • Knowledge of robot end effectors/jig & fixtures/runner & cooling design would be beneficial
  • MAGMASOFT simulation software and analysis desirable
  • Project management, supplier vendor management, and effective communication skills
