We protect more than 9,000 customers from complex cyber threats.
The Darktrace AI Research Centre conducts research establishing new thresholds in cyber security.
This role is for an Embedded Systems Engineer with expertise in hardware development and quality assurance processes. You will be responsible for conducting quality tests, benchmarking performance, and designing future hardware platforms for the Darktrace Cyber Intelligence Platform (DCIP). Your focus will be on:
- Enhancing internal systems to streamline workflows and boost productivity;
- Collaborating with the Cyber Support team to diagnose and resolve customer hardware issues promptly;
- Supporting the business by assisting our wider logistic team in the deployment of our physical server platform to our growing customer base.
You will work closely with our development and QA departments to ensure the stability, reliability, and efficiency of our hardware platform.
Requirements:
- A solid foundation in server components, networking, and troubleshooting;
- Strong communication and organizational abilities;
- Hands-on experience in Linux, scripting, and technical project management using tools like Gitlab.
Experience with C++, Bash, and Python programming languages would be beneficial. A deep understanding of quality assurance processes and expertise in Ansible for server management, Virtual Machines, ZFS, Docker/Kubernetes, and REST APIs's are also advantageous.

Estimated Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience.
