We're seeking an experienced Engineering Stores Controller to manage our engineering stores and ensure the availability of spare parts and materials essential for the smooth operation of our plant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining stock levels, ensuring inventory accuracy, and collaborating with the engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing all purchasing requests for production consumables and liaising with Engineers/Engineering Team Leaders about parts needed.
- Booking in all completed delivered orders on the systems through Holistech and coordinating with the purchase ledger to meet all booking in requirements.
- Driving a culture of searching for the best quality materials at the best possible price.
- Working with the Engineering team to create and facilitate the use of kitting lists for a proactive maintenance approach.
- Exploring and promoting the use of reverse Engineering techniques to create a wider database of suppliers, resulting in better lead times, costs, and quality.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of engineering, machine parts, and ordering systems.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word.
- Experience with Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) - Holistech preferable.
