Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of a fleet of HGVs, performing routine maintenance tasks and repairs as required. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for vehicle mechanics and a desire to work in a dynamic industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out scheduled servicing inspections and preparation for testing on all fleet vehicles (HGV to LCV)
  • MOT tests and regular safety inspections of HGVs in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Diagnosing faults (mechanical/electrical/hydraulic) and repairing vehicles as necessary
  • Completing records related to inspection, service, and repair of fleet items in accordance with statutory and administrative requirements
  • Liaising with colleagues and managers to prioritise workload, organise replacement parts and/or specialist support when required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ qualified HGV Technician
  • HGV Class 2 licence
  • Diagnostic experience an advantage
  • Full UK Driving Licence
