We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to join our team at a pupil referral unit in Stoke. As a SEMH teacher, you will be responsible for teaching multiple core subjects to students aged 11-16 who require additional support due to social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach core subjects to students with SEMH needs
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to cater to individual student needs
  • Work closely with support staff to provide a comprehensive learning experience
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources
  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals

Requirements:

  • Teaching qualification and/or extensive teaching experience
  • Flexibility in teaching style to cater to individual student needs
  • Previous experience teaching secondary-aged pupils in a school environment
  • Experience working with young people displaying challenging behavior
  • Team Teach qualification or equivalent, or a willingness to undertake this training
