Job Description

**Job Title:** Retail Buyers

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Retail Buyer to join our team at Tom Samuel Recruitment Ltd. As a Retail Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring products for our retail clients in the Household and Food and Drink categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category plans, including range reviews, promotions, pricing, and stock management, to ensure a commercially viable assortment of products that meet customer needs and drive sales and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and implement marketing promotion plans and strategies that are relevant to the category.
  • Adhere to legislation and brand guidelines, and clearly and effectively communicate with customers to drive footfall and profitable sales.
  • Work closely with the Merchandising team to agree on merchandising strategies that drive and deliver the right range in the right store, ensuring availability in store.
  • Ensure base sales and promotional forecasts are adhered to, while maintaining in-store availability to meet customer needs.
  • Develop effective internal working relationships with cross-functional team members to support and enhance category objectives and performance.
  • Continually develop expert knowledge in category products, competitors, and market activity to deliver increased category performance objectives.
  • Manage and deliver projects as and when required.
  • Take responsibility for own personal and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the Household, Food, or Drink categories is desired.
  • Project Management skills, including planning and execution.
  • Energetic, adaptable, and flexible approach.
  • Good PC and software skills.
