Job Summary:

Our client, a leading Lloyds Insurance Broker, is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Apprentice Insurance Broker to join their team in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. As an Apprentice Insurance Broker, you will play a vital role in serving the insurance needs of customers, ensuring that all documents are obtained and dispatched promptly, and resolving issues efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support management and colleagues in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of insurance basics, principles, and the insurance broking market.
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and handle all inquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Deal with client inquiries, provide excellent communication, and build strong relationships.
  • Generate system correspondence to clients, insurers, and third parties.
  • Notify insurers of changes and new cover issued, ensuring seamless policy management.
  • Obtain and submit completed client documentation to insurers in a timely manner.
  • Process, check, and dispatch policy documentation to clients.
  • Pursue and secure outstanding renewal premiums.
  • Create new policy records for allocated risks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • On-target or completed 3 A-Levels or equivalent (Grade C or above).
  • At least 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above).
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal abilities.
