This is an exciting opportunity to improve the quality of inpatient services for people with learning disabilities and autistic individuals in Cheshire and Merseyside. We are seeking a skilled professional to support the redesign of inpatient provision, ensuring best use of resources and improving quality.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with stakeholders, analyze data, and identify gaps in current provision. They will also translate national policy into practice and support services to implement and embed changes locally.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

  1. Educated to degree level with considerable experience in NHS or Social Care context
  2. Educated to masters level or equivalent experience

Knowledge and Experience:

Essential:

  1. Extensive knowledge of secondary care mental health, learning disability, and autism services/provision
  2. Experience of teaching/training/mentoring in the workplace
  3. Experience of managing complex projects involving multiple partnerships or whole systems
  4. A clear understanding of the background to and aims of current health/social care and appreciation of the implications for the mental health and LDA agenda
  5. An appreciation of the relationship between NHSE, Public Health England, and individual provider/commissioning organisations
  6. Understanding of Five Year Forward View and Long Term Plan priorities for Mental Health, Learning Disability, and Autism
  7. Demonstrable change management and/or service redesign experience
  8. Understanding of the need for meaningful engagement of people with lived experience in service development and redesign

Desirable:

  1. Experience of working at a senior level within health or social care services in a clinical or management/education/policy capacity
  2. Involvement in previous transformation work involving digital solutions
