Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with a Reception class, providing 1 to 1 support to a pupil with SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1 to 1 support to a pupil with SEMH needs, promoting a safe and calming environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all pupils.
  • Support the class teacher in managing pupil behavior, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a consistent approach to supporting the pupil's needs.
