About the Role

Mencap is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Relief Support Worker to join our team in Aberystwyth. As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.

You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, providing emotional support, and helping individuals to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with learning disabilities to live independently and participate in their communities
  • Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Provide emotional support and help individuals to manage their mental health
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement support plans

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
