Job Title: Engineering Director, Community

Stafforce is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Director to lead our engineering team and drive innovation in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the engineering team to achieve high performance standards and meet business goals.
  • Assist in the recruitment, retention, and development of staff to ensure the engineering team is well-resourced.
  • Prioritize and manage engineering workloads and activities, delegating tasks efficiently to team members.
  • Identify and resolve performance or safety issues with plant or equipment promptly.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective engineering stores systems.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, company policies, and health and safety regulations.
  • Promote Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
  • Contribute to waste reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all completed work meets safety and hygiene standards.
  • Pursue personal development through training and work-based experiences.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance systems and inspections.
  • Conduct Health and Safety risk assessments for engineering activities.
  • Participate in the site's Food Safety, HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP team.
  • Ensure machinery operates at optimum performance with minimal disruption to production.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to working hours, including on-call duties.
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Extensive practical experience in mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Proficient analytical skills to interpret data for effective strategy development.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Food hygiene certification desired.
  • Previous experience as an Engineering Manager in a food production environment desired.
