We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Care Team Specialist to join our Family Placement Team at Wokingham Borough Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to foster carers and looked-after children.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Providing expert supervision and support to foster carers, helping them to develop their skills and confidence.
  • Coordinating training programs for foster carers, ensuring they receive the latest knowledge and best practices in care provision.
  • Working closely with social workers and other professionals to achieve strong matching and complete long-term placements.
  • Responding to the needs and concerns of foster carers, providing prompt and professional support and guidance.
  • Contributing to care planning decisions, working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.

You will need to possess good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A Social Work qualification and registration with the SWE are essential requirements for this role.
