Job Summary

Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist

Grade: Band 7

Location: Prospect Park Hospital

Ward: Pharmacy

Pay Rates: Competitive hourly rate

Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in consultant ward rounds/MDTs to improve medicines optimisation
  • Work alongside Clinical Pharmacy Technicians to implement and deliver a 28-day one stop dispensing service
  • Support ward staff to ensure adequate ward pharmacy stock levels are maintained
  • Involvement in regular audit work to improve standards of care

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Clinical Pharmacist in a hospital setting, contributing to the improvement of patient care and outcomes. As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will work closely with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective prescribing practices.

Person Specification:

  • Experience of working in a hospital setting
  • Masters Degree in Pharmacy and successful completion of pre-registration training year
  • Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Diploma/MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
