Job Title: Steel Price Reporter

We are seeking a highly skilled Steel Price Reporter to join our team at Dow Jones. As a Steel Price Reporter, you will be responsible for reporting steel prices on a weekly basis, including prices and premiums for Green Steel, with a particular emphasis on the European market.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our team of experts in the steel industry, providing valuable insights and analysis to our clients. You will be responsible for launching new steel price assessments, defining price specifications, and gathering market feedback.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report steel prices on a weekly basis, including prices and premiums for Green Steel, with a particular emphasis on the European market.
  • Launch new steel price assessments, define price specifications, and gather market feedback.
  • Generate news content on the steel sector, with a focus on Green Steel, for our daily and weekly news deliverables.
  • Periodic pieces on topical industry issues, such as regulatory developments, geopolitical issues, investment, project pipeline, and ESG.
  • Maintain strong client and industry relationships, sharing and sourcing market intelligence.
  • Engage actively in business development, assisting our account managers in the sales process.
Requirements:
  • Experience in the steel or steel raw materials industries and/or markets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrable impact, and influence skills.
  • Excellent ability to present and lead public discussions.
  • Strong quantitative skills advantageous.
  • Exemplary written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within a team while sometimes operating alone.
  • Ability to manage others while maintaining personal output.
  • Bachelor's degree.
