Job Title: Teaching Support Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled Teaching Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one tutoring in Maths and English to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

You will work closely with students, parents, and teachers to develop individualised learning plans, assess student progress, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching SEN students. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.

The estimated salary for this position is £20-£30 per hour.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring in Maths and English to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate with parents, teachers, and other professionals regarding student progress
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching SEN students
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 Maths and English curriculum
  • Experience working with SEN students
  • Understanding of SEN strategies and best practices
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
