Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to join our China Desk team at WorldFirst. As a Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving our sales growth within the UK Chinese business community.



Key Responsibilities

  • Originate new business and achieve commercial targets through managing inbound and outbound lead channels and collaborating with Marketing, Partnerships, and outsourced Telesales companies.
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead-to-customer, executing sales activities and managing a healthy sales pipeline via telephone, virtual, and face-to-face client meetings.
  • Develop a dynamic sales plan, initiate campaigns, and create relevant sales collateral and client-facing documents.
  • Establish a fully developed pipeline of new qualified leads, nurture and close open sales opportunities successfully, and act as a single point of contact for all stakeholders during the onboarding process.
  • Manage deadlines, ensure expectations are over-delivered, and report on activities and pipeline via CRM and frequent 1:1s.
  • Engage in marketing operations and events, grow your network, and work closely with cross-functional teams within Ant Group and Alibaba to support business development.
  • Build your brand as a thought leader at events, online, and to prospective clients by sharing industry trends and in-depth knowledge of our products and solutions.
  • Focus on clients' business objectives, challenges, and needs, and apply value-based selling.
  • Make optimal use of CRM tools to store customer data and log activities.


Requirements

  • Fluency in Mandarin and English, with additional EU languages a plus.
  • Expertise in FX and International payment markets.
  • Proven track record of exceeding new business sales targets.
  • 3-5 years' experience in e-commerce or international trade.
  • Deep understanding of the cross-border payment ecosystem and FX products.
  • Focused, proactive, engaged, disciplined, responsible, and courageous in a sales role.
  • Excellent convincing communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work autonomously, remotely, and independently.
  • Existing network of international SME-sized Chinese companies involved in international trade or e-commerce.
