Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team, a renowned national contractor with a strong track record in delivering major infrastructure projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will head the Commercial team on appointed projects, demonstrating a thorough understanding of contractual and commercial requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing value management and cost control
  • Preparing accurate draft sub-contracts and approving drafts prepared by subordinates
  • Arranging payments and valuing completed work
  • Demonstrating confidence and expertise in dispute resolution and risk profiling
  • Promoting strong relationships with clients and management teams
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A background in engineering contracts and strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of NEC3/NCE4 forms of contract
  • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering projects and the construction industry
