We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our team in Portsmouth. As a Tax Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic oversight to a thriving tax team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax services to our clients.
About the Role:- High-level oversight of a tax portfolio, monitoring all commercial aspects of portfolio management.
- Preparation and review of tax computations and returns.
- Leading tax advisory work.
- Allocating work and ensuring teams are ready and able to deliver in line with client expectations and agreed service levels.
- Reviewing computations prepared by junior members of the tax team.
- Building trusted client relationships, handling queries and problem solving.
- Working with fellow department Directors, such as audit to ensure a joined up approach.
- Monitoring the commercial aspects of portfolio management, ensuring deadlines and fee recovery targets are met.
- Keeping up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team.
- Delegating work to and managing junior staff, overseeing workflow and quality control.
- Driving business development for the tax function and wider firm.
