Job Title: Consultant in Paediatric Neurodisability

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Paediatric Neurodisability to join our medical team at The Children's Trust. As a leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, we provide expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant in Paediatric Neurodisability to make a lasting difference to children with brain injury and neurodisability. You will gain unique experience in Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and management of Neurodisability. Previous experience in Paediatric Neurodisability is desirable, but not essential, as long as the candidate is willing to undertake further training in these niche subspecialties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in a 24-acre site with state-of-the-art facilities, including robotic technology and virtual reality.
  • Develop and implement your expertise in an environment focused on the highest clinical and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with a high-performing team, including Medical Director, Consultants, Senior Specialty Doctors, and Medical Business Manager.
Requirements
  • Full professional GMC registration and licence to practice.
  • CCT in Paediatric Neurodisability, Community Paediatrics, or General Paediatrics, or be within 6 months of achieving this at the time of interview.
  • MRCPCH or equivalent.
  • Natural and enthusiastic leadership skills.
  • Strong clinical skills and excellent child and family-focused interpersonal skills.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, a range of benefits, including free shuttle bus, on-site nursery, free eye tests, enhanced Maternity and Paternity Pay, time out days for those experiencing menopause symptoms, and time off for gender reassignment. We also offer additional annual leave days for those with long service, with entitlements ranging from 35 to 41 days (including bank holidays) depending on your length of service.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all who share our ambition to give children and young people with brain injury and neurodisability the opportunity to live the best life possible. We strive to create an inclusive culture and have networks across the organisation working to ensure that these aims are met.
