Care Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced Care Manager to oversee our Adult Residential Home. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a similar environment and position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and maintain registration with CQC
  • Implement, monitor, and review practices and systems to ensure they meet and exceed service requirements
  • Maintain effective communication and liaison with staff, service users, families, and other stakeholders while respecting confidentiality
  • Promote company values
  • Maintain accurate notes and records as required
  • Deliver high-quality support to service users
  • Work as part of a team to provide high-quality care
  • Recruit, manage, retain, and train staff individually and as team members

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with people who have Learning Disability/Mental Health and/or Physical Disabilities, and at least 3 years senior/managerial experience in the sector
  • Relevant professional qualification (Level 5) / accredited vocational qualification or working towards
  • Experience of managing budgets and budget control
  • Understanding of and commitment to providing Equal Opportunities
  • Knowledge and first-hand experience of current Health & social Care legislation, including the Mental Health Act
  • Demonstrable evidence of supporting people in a person-centred way
  • High level of literacy, numeracy, and administrative skills, together with well-developed communication skills both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams, both internally and externally
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the CQC Compliance standards and the desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure prior to commencement of employment, the disclosure expense will be met by the employer.
