Private Credit Investing

Our Private Credit team is one of the world's largest alternative credit investing platforms, with investment professionals based in the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia. We originate investments and invest third-party capital across senior secured loans, mezzanine/unsecured debt, preferred equity, and opportunistic credit supporting buyouts led by Private Equity sponsors.

Responsibilities

  • Originate investment ideas across the product suite of Credit via early engagement with relevant parties (e.g., financial sponsors / company management teams)
  • Engage in all aspects of due diligence and business analysis to develop and refine investment theses
  • Participate in structuring, negotiating, and documenting investments
  • Communicate and defend investment theses to internal stakeholders and committees, including relevant AMD and Firm-wide Investment Committees
  • Actively monitor existing investments in the portfolio
  • Build relationships with sponsors, management teams, and internal GS stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Investment Banking and Private Credit/Direct Lending candidate with 2 to 4 years of experience
  • Strong quantitative, financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for investing with specific interest in credit / other structured products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and creative mindset; ability to analyze a variety of industries and businesses
  • Ability to self-direct, analyze, and evaluate and form independent judgments
  • Ability to interact and build relationships with a wide variety of people
