About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Accountancy Team Lead to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in building relationships with clients and delivering high-quality work.

Main Responsibilities:

• To provide leadership and role-modelled behaviour to the accountancy team.
• To perform regular 1-2-1 meetings with accounting team members.
• To support the Accountancy Manager in planning and monitoring key performance measures.
• To develop internal systems and controls to ensure standards are met.
• To prepare, send and submit accounts & tax returns for a portfolio of clients.
• To communicate with clients via phone, email, social media and in person.
• To onboard new clients and integrate them into their portfolio.
• To assess and advise clients on their tax position.
• To optimise and plan the tax efficiency of clients.
• To instruct, mentor and manage accounting team members.

Requirements:

1. Must be able to prepare accounts & tax returns for clients.
2. At least 5 years accounting practice experience overall.
3. Good standard of verbal and written English.
4. Proficient IT skills (Excel & Word essential).
5. A sound working knowledge of QuickBooks and Xero desirable.

Salary: £55,000 - £80,000 per annum
