Exciting Credit Control Opportunity

Artemis Human Capital is seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join their team in Belfast city centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a growing NI start-up that is expanding its operations in the US.

About the Role

This is a key position that involves managing and collecting debt for the company's UK and Irish entities. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining credit control policies, working closely with the cash allocation team to ensure accurate allocation of payments and timely resolution of queries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check customers' credit and approve/reject based on company policy
  • Negotiate payment plans and set up terms and conditions
  • Assist with cash forecasting
  • Initiate legal proceedings if clients do not pay their bills on time
  • Liaise with solicitors and bailiffs
  • Process the monthly Direct Debit collection run
  • Assist with month-end close and periodic requests from external accountants
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of current experience in credit control, strong telephone acumen, and previous experience using SAP, NetSuite, or HubSpot. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as well as proficiency in Excel and the ability to work well in a small team within a fast-paced environment.
