About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Technician - Commercial Vehicles to join our team at Original Talent Recruitment. As an ideal candidate, you will have a strong background in electrical design, with experience working on commercial vehicles. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us deliver high-quality services to our clients.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
  • Good knowledge and experience of automotive electrical and mechanical systems, ideally in commercial vehicle applications.
  • Able to read and understand electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
  • Able to record and update circuit diagrams.
  • Experience with high voltage and CAN systems.
  • Experience in fault finding and resolution.
  • Experience with instrumentation and data logging equipment.
  • Knowledge and ability to carry out mechanical tests.
  • Good communicator (working with electrical design, suppliers, etc.).
  • Fluent in MS Office (Outlook, Word, & Excel).
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • PSV or HGV license is desirable.
  • Aware of basic workshop machine tool operation.
  • Ability to work under own initiative.
  • Experience with laptop-based diagnostic equipment.
  • Able to demonstrate instrumentation and data logging equipment experience (Analogue and CAN systems).

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. This salary reflects the specialist nature of the role and the requirement for exceptional technical skills.
