Job Duties:
  • Provide support and assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Implement individualised learning plans and strategies as directed by the class teacher, ensuring students receive tailored support to meet their needs.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support for SEN students, maintaining a positive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Support students with personal care needs if required, prioritising their dignity and well-being.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience working with SEN students in an educational setting, demonstrating a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Good understanding of SEN strategies and interventions, including knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with teachers and other staff members to ensure student success.
Experience:

Prior experience working with SEN students in an educational setting, with a focus on providing high-quality support and guidance.Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions, including behaviour management and personal care support.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different communication styles and needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members, prioritising student needs and well-being.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional training or qualifications in specific areas of SEN support, such as autism or physical disability.
  • Experience working with a range of SEN conditions, including ADHD, dyslexia, and physical disabilities.
Working Conditions:
  • Temporary position with full-time hours, with the possibility of permanent employment in the future.
  • Work within a school environment, with a focus on providing high-quality support and guidance to students.
  • May involve assisting with personal care needs of students, prioritising their dignity and well-being.
