Procurement Category Officer

Morgan Law is seeking a skilled Procurement Category Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Category Manager, this role will be a key part of the procurement team and will take responsibility for delivering procurement support and managing end-to-end procurement projects in line with public sector procurement regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procure new contracts, ensuring best value is delivered in accordance with PCR 2015 and the new procurement act.
  • Provide support to the Category Manager and develop new approaches to the market.
  • Help develop category and sub-category strategies to drive procurement excellence.
  • Prepare tender documents and analyze tender responses to ensure compliance and value for money.
  • Contribute to generating opportunities for savings and efficiencies, as well as supporting contract formation and contract management.
Requirements:

This role requires a candidate with previous experience in public sector procurement, ideally from an FM background. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement regulations and best practices.

The role is based in Maidstone, with 3 days in the office. The salary on offer is circa £35,000 to £40,000.
