We are seeking an experienced Materials Planning Manager to join our team at Samworth Brothers Limited. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to take their career to the next level in a dynamic and family-owned business.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in managing stock controllers, with a strong focus on optimizing inventory levels and minimizing waste. You will be responsible for implementing processes and controls that support one way of working across all areas, and developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure material supply performance against the production plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Supply Chain Manager with departmental objectives, daily and weekly waste reporting, new product launch material schedules, product delists, and material risks.
  • Work closely with Operations Management to implement processes and controls that support one way of working across all areas.
  • Develop KPIs to measure material supply performance against the production plan.
  • Collaborate with management teams to develop new systems, processes, and working practices relating to Material scheduling.
  • Ensure all Stock Controllers are developing at the same rate and intensity, and new practices are embedded as common and standardised processes.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous management experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of managing absence, performance & conduct issues.
  • Extensive knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
  • Intermediate/Advanced skills in Planning systems, Power BI, Excel.
