About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator to join our team at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of local and national cancer clinical trials, contributing to cancer research and ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clinical trials, including set-up, protocol development, coordination, and management.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure compliance with UK regulations, guidelines, and requirements for the conduct of clinical research.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, pharmacists, statisticians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless trial execution.
  • Line manage a small team of Clinical Trials Coordinators and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations, including Ethics Committees, Universities, and funding bodies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, including REC, MHRA, R&D submissions, and grant applications.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in clinical research, including observational studies and Clinical Trials within the NHS and/or University.
  • Substantial experience in set-up, protocol development, coordination, and management of clinical trials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build working relationships with department colleagues, Trust staff, and external organizations.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to work under pressure and balance conflicting workloads.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with initiative.
