Job Title: Production Database Team Leader, Automation

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Database Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our automation team, you will be responsible for coordinating and driving team efforts to deliver software solutions.

The production database automation team is responsible for developing and supporting a growing number of innovative custom-built solutions. Core skills within the team include C#, Blazor, Ansible, Jenkins, Powershell, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Spanner.

You will work alongside some of the best developers in the industry and receive exposure to innovative technologies, as well as the opportunity to influence the technical direction of the team.

The day-to-day work is interesting, challenging, and fast-paced amidst a hardworking and delivery-focused company ethos. We hire people with a broad set of technical skills who are ready to tackle some of technology's greatest challenges.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the company's hybrid working from home policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing clear direction, mentorship, and guidance to a team of highly skilled professionals, demonstrating integrity and a strong work ethic.
  • Fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity and continuous learning and improvement.
  • Setting performance expectations and identifying growth opportunities within the team.
  • Overseeing the execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Ensuring timely provision of agreed deliverables throughout the software development life cycle, by understanding both customer and technical requirements.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, identifying automation opportunities.
  • Identifying and mitigating risk, removing blockers to delivery.
  • Analysing the impact of change.
  • Distributing knowledge and mentoring team members.
  • Providing performance feedback and inputting into staff appraisals.
