Technical Assistant

At PTW International, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to join our Audio/Post team. As a Technical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely completion of technical and administrative tasks to support the delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide audio support for both audio and video projects, ensuring seamless collaboration with the team.
  • Perform high-quality audio editing of dialogue WAV files, adhering to our in-house standards.
  • Ensure quality assurance and delivery of edited dialogue WAV files using our proprietary tools.
  • Organize, log, and distribute batches to editors, and collect them once edited.
  • Prepare scripts and conduct the QA process on edited batches, as required.
  • Prepare edited batches for delivery to clients, and when suitable, deliver them.
  • Assist the Post-Production Team with their day-to-day tasks, providing support wherever possible.
  • Collaborate and work seamlessly with the entire audio team.
  • Report any issues that might impact progress or quality.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as required or report them to line managers.
  • Keep audio assets and logging of equipment up to date.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in software and tools such as WAV file editors (Audition, Pro Tools, and/or Izotope RX), Pro Tools, and MS Excel.
  • Strong interest in audio technology and a willingness to learn new skills and software.
  • Good ability in troubleshooting technical and IT issues.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-driven, resourceful, and a team player who can work well with all levels.
