Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team in an educational setting. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of special educational needs and be able to provide individualised support to children with SEN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with SEN in accessing the curriculum and participating in class activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children, families, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other support plans.
  • Provide emotional and practical support to children with SEN, including managing challenging behaviours.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and its impact on children's lives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with SEN.
