About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Cook/Housekeeper at Kingsbrook School. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, wellbeing, and safety of our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals for students and staff, adhering to dietary requirements and care standards.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school, including kitchen and dining areas.
  • Support with housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and waste management.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
  • Contribute to the overall wellbeing and safety of students and staff by promoting healthy eating habits and a positive school environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 1 qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment, preparing and cooking meals for large groups.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond quickly to changing circumstances.
