Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement and Inventory Management:
    • Procure materials and supplies from approved vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Manage inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and maintain accurate records.
    • Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and quality of materials.
    • Issue vendor questionnaires and maintain vendor certifications.
  • Order Processing and Administration:
    • Prepare and process purchase orders using Sage 200, track deliveries, and ensure all supporting documentation is received.
    • Provide administrative support, manage 3rd party contractors, and maintain an organized work environment.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
    • Adhere to company health and safety policies, challenge unsafe acts, and contribute to a positive QHSE culture.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • SCQF Level 8 (HND, Technical Apprenticeship, or Bachelor's Degree) in supply chain management or a related discipline.
  • Experience:
    • Preferably, you have experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment, purchasing, vendor management, and using Sage 200 manufacturing.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, task management, and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Personal Qualities:
    • We need someone enthusiastic, committed, and a fast learner who can work independently as well as in a team.
