Job Description

Job Title: Connections Project Manager

Job Summary:

Northern Powergrid is seeking a highly motivated and organized Connections Project Manager to join our team. As a Connections Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing connections projects, ensuring customer satisfaction, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the single point of contact for customers requesting new electrical connections or alterations to their supply.
  • Provide excellent customer service in line with defined connections quality standards.
  • Understand customer requirements and produce scheme designs using relevant business tools.
  • Plan and schedule labour, materials, and liaise with contractors to meet customer delivery dates and requirements.
  • Ensure works are completed to customer satisfaction and rectify any identified issues.
  • Complete post-delivery project closure within financial governance.
  • Manage workload to meet regulatory targets.

Requirements:

  • GCSE grade C/5 or above in Maths and English.
  • IT skills including use of Microsoft applications (Word & Excel).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Basic understanding of the power distribution network and connections regulatory framework.
  • Proven experience of project or financial management.

Working Environment:

This role may involve visiting and entering customers' premises. The successful candidate will be subject to a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
