About the Role

We are partnering with a leading retail business to recruit a Control Manager to lead and shape the future of risk and control frameworks for their People function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Risk and Control Matrices (RACMs) to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to drive risk management.
  • Oversee the implementation of control self-assessments and risk management processes.
  • Support investigations related to fraud, risk, and IT controls.
  • Prepare reports for Governance and Audit Committees.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with payroll processes in large, complex organisations.
  • Expertise in internal controls documentation and compliance, including IT auditing and Sox framework.
  • Proven experience in re-engineering processes, risk mitigation, and policy formulation.
  • Excellent data interrogation skills for identifying issues, errors, and potential fraud.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence at senior levels.
