Job Title: Managing Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in Essex. The successful candidate will lead 2nd stage procurement across multiple projects, working closely with internal departments and subcontractors.

About the Role:
  • Take responsibility for cost estimation and budgeting
  • Liaise with internal departments, including design, estimating, planning, and bid management
  • Prepare procurement strategy for packages from order to start on site
  • Liaise with subcontractors and supply chain to ensure prompt return of quotes/pricing
  • Assess and review subcontractor responses, in line with project design
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years+ experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for a Main Contractor
  • Stable career history with experience working on New Build projects in excess of £20m
  • Excellent negotiation skills and previous experience procuring subcontractors
