We are currently seeking a proactive and personable individual to support KS3 and KS4 classes at a lovely SEN Secondary School in Romsey.

Job Description

Our passion is education, and we strive to provide high-quality services to our schools while continuously improving. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and pupils with special educational needs.

  • Supporting the class Teacher (4-8 pupils per class)
  • Participating in outdoor day trips and activity days
  • Embracing the school's vision and core values
  • Working with pupils who have ASC, complex needs, and challenging behaviors
  • Full-time 8:30am to 3:30pm
  • 1:1 and small group work to ensure pupils stay on track with the curriculum

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Lots of patience, be proactive, and resilient
  • Experience working within a SEN school (not essential)
  • A strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with pupils
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

To succeed as a SEN Teaching Assistant with GSL Education, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education
