Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team at London Bridge Hospital. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of nurses, and contributing to the development of our unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring the highest standards of care and compassion.
- Lead a team of nurses, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Develop and implement holistic care plans for children in partnership with the multidisciplinary team.
- Act as a role model and mentor to junior nurses, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Contribute to the development of our unit, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support.
- Post Graduate experience working in a PICU setting.
- Understanding of Safeguarding issues.
- Teaching and mentoring experience desirable.
- Completion of a PICU Course that is equivalent to 60 credits.
- Excellent clinical governance and experience with audits.
- Experience of supervising and assessing students and shift leading is desirable.
